3750 - tagging traffic to a vlan for Metro E connection

I need to connect a 3750 switch port to a Metro Ethernet Service from AT&T.

All the traffic that is sent to them needs to have a vlan tag of 699 - their end will only accept traffic tagged with 699.

I have configured the vlan as follows:

interface vlan 699

ip address 172.90.0.6 255.255.255.2

The metro thernet connection is on port Fa1/0/48.

My question is how to I configure the system so that all traffic that heads out over the connection is actually tagged with the vlan ID?

If it matters....

I have vlan 1 turned down and I have one two other vlans - 30 that has all pc ip addresses and vlan 250 for voip phones.

IOS is C3750 Software (C3750-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.2(35)SE

Thanks

You may need to do:

conf t

int Fa1/0/48

switchport encap dot1q

switchport mode trunk

switchport trunk allow vlan 699

It is just my 2 cents.
