Hi Friend,
If it does not have any ip address in it then it is not possible for you to access the switch remotely.
You can check "sh cdp nei det" and see if any neighbor ip address is listed for 3750.
If there is no ip address configured then you have to manually configure it via console creating a layer 3 interface and assigning an ip address to that layer 3 interface.
Something like this
interface vlan
ip address
no shut

Hi,
There has to be atleast one IP address configured on the device so that you can access it remotely. Else what you can do, is connect a PC to that on the console port and then take the remote desktop of the PC to configure the switch.
IP address might be already configured on the device. Try seeing the CDP details of the device by entering this command --> show cdp neighbour detail. If you do find the IP address, you can then telnet to the device and then configure it.
Hope this helps..

I don't think so there is any other way to configure the switch remotely if there is no IP configured on that switch or you don't have anyone available at the remote site who can assist you to either give remote console of the PC connecting to the switch or can configure IP on it.

Hi,
Firstly is that location having a network which you have access to? If yes, then is there anyone who can just connect the device's console port to a PC, theres no need to give an IP in this case. What you can do is then, take the remote desktop of the PC and then access the device connected to that PC through remote desktop.
There is no other way to do it. Then you'll have to have physical access to the device.
Hope this helps.

If you have a machine close by with a serial port you could get someone to plug a roll over cable in that machine and then plug the rj45 into the console port of the switch. Then remote to that server or desktop and set up a hyper terminal session to the switch console and put in an ip address. remember also to put in a vty password otherwise you will not be able to access via telnet.
Hope this helps.
