3750G-12S as router

Hellow everyone.

Now L3 work in 3825 router and I have in peak 600 mbit and almost 70% cpu load.

I need to wrap up the traffic even with the office and I think 3825 will not cope with the load.

The load will grow up to 300 Mbps at least

I have 2 3750g-12s in stack.

Want to move all logic to them (now it's L2).

But in feature, I will need to collect netflow.

Use c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-58.SE2.bin

Will it work?

You should be looking at least on a 890 router or a 1921 router.

Your 3750G will do the job because their capacity of PPS that is the main value you should consider in your situation. However, with a so big amount of WAN traffic i would plan a different device than 3750G... It is not going to be an ideal solution. Leave the 3750X, they are quite unstable... rather go for the (big) new ISR G2 or ASR 1000 series.

This command, have in ios.

No it will not work !

The commands are there for a different 3750.

so you could stack a 3750G with a 3750x with the right card and then you could use the commands.

but not for a 3750G

What you can do is set up a netflow collector and do a SPAN port on a 3750G and set a netflow collector on the span port.

That will solve your NETFLOW problem

To solve the routing problem you can have a go at the newer 3945E models

If your 3825 can handle todays traffic load of 600 Mbit and you want to ramp it up 300Mbps the 3945e will do just that.

however I am not sure you are using netflow in your router today. so take into consideration routing table sizes and also that the more stuff you enable the more you have to utilise the processor.

so if you want full routing table from the internet without crunching the numbers I doubt that will work with a 3750G.
