3750G Performance problem / sdm question

Hello,

i have a question for the Cat3750G-24TS.

We have the problem that the device get a very high CPU-Load of 99% while periods of high traffic (350mps). During this time the device is not reachable via ssh/snmp and has 50% ping loss to its managment-IP. The TOP-process during this time is "IP-INPUT" with ~70%.

A assume that it could be a problem with the tcam resources. The device acts as router, so we use the sdm template default-routing. This template allocate 11K for unicast routes (3k direct-routes and 8k indirect routes).

But what does it really mean ? Does it mean 11K = 11000 routes or does it mean 11Kbyte or 11Kbit memory allocation for ip-routes ?

Thanks in advance

Hendrik
