I'm upgrading a stacked 3750X - one and 3750X-24TS and the other a 3750X-48TS. I have downloaded the IOS files that correspond which each switch from the software download page (15.0.(2)SE7). The question I have is this: Are the two files exactly the same? They are the same size, but...
I don't have room to install both as separate, but won't have to worry about that if the files are the same for a 24TS as it is for a 48TS.

Although Cisco's IOS image page lists all known models, often they all run the same physical image.
Besides being the same file size, are the files also named alike? Have you run a file comparison utility against them?

Thanks Joseph. Yes, they are the same file name and no, I have not run a file comparison.

BTW, running a file comparison is "overkill", but then you would know/prove the two files are identical.
