3750X-POE doesn't recognize 2nd power supply

Hi,

i have a problem with 3750X-POE, when the Power is to low i want to add a second Powersupply. Sometimes it doesn't get's recognized, I can see in the Log-file that power supply was inserted and power is good but a show inventory doesn't show the supply. Also the "show power inline" doesn't show the extra power.

Sometimes a reboot helps, sometimes we need to replace the switch.

I am using version: c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-58.SE1.bin

Does anybody know this problem?

Thanks

Not sure, but you may check out bug CSCtn63506, looks like 12.2(58)SE1 is on the affected list.

Could you check the #show environment power and verify do you see the power supply?

Symptom:

When hot inserting power supplies and powering up in Incredibles, power supplies appear in 'show environment power' but do not appear in 'show inventory'.

Conditions:

The issue occurs on FRU PS for X-Series.

Workaround:

There is no workaround.

The issue does not affect an actual power supply

Hi Richard... thanks for this info, i will use a newer IOS and give it a try!

Hmmm:

"No release planned to fix this bug"  I think i have to go to 15.x.x

Unrelated... but what does 'powering up in Incredibles' mean?
