There is less inline power issue.

http://www.cisco.com/application/pdf/paws/71820/routermodules.pdf

See " Ethernet Switching Module " , You need to change power supply.

Re: 3845 and NME-XD-48ES-2S-P

One last question please;

does this line "The new Cisco EtherSwitch service modules (NME-16ES-1G-P, NME-X-23ES-1G-P, NME-XD-24ES-1S-P, and NME-XD-48ES-2S-P only) are capable of providing both Cisco pre-standard and IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) support when inserted in Cisco 2800 Series or 3800 Series Integrated Services Routers (requires an upgrade to an AC-IP power supply"

does this mean they will not function without the upgraded PS? it seems that it explains only that you need the upgraded PS to have the PoE capabilities?

thanks

Yvon
