Hello!

Network Design and Config

*************************

part of the Project Like This:SW1(VLAN100) connected to DS1

SwitchB(Vlan200)Connected to DS2;SW1 HAS Stack Link to SW2.DS1 Has L2 Link to DS2

i will setup 2 DSs and 20 vlans and Run HSRP Between it because the 2 6509 sup 1 doesn't support GLBP so plz examine my Config:

DS1

****

STP vlan 100 priority 4096

STP vlan 200 priority 8192

DS2

***

STP vlan 200 priority 4096

STP vlan 100 priority 8192

Now for HSRP

DS1

***

int vlan 100

ip address 100.x.100.3/24

standby 20 ip 100.200.100.1

standby 20 priority 110

standby 20 preempt

int vlan 200

ip address 100.x.200.3/24

standby 21ip 100.200.200.1

DS2

***

int vlan 200

ip address 100.x.200.3/24

standby 21ip 100.200.200.1

standby 21 priority 110

standby 21 preempt

int vlan 100

Hello Experts!

Ok,let Say we want to move to GLBP Does this Config Works or must config on the DSs stp side Like this:

DS1

***

Root bridge primary

DS2

***

Root bridge Secondary

than the GLBP Load Balence across all vlans

any great Coments

Ali

Leave the STP setup as before, since it's layer 2 share. GLBP will load balance at L3.

Hello Again!

what if EACH Switch has 2 direct connection to each Distribution(DS1 & DS2).what would be the config of the STP? Shall i keep it the Same?
