4500-X VSS Dual-Active Detection

Hello,

I'm looking for information for Dual-Active detection configuration on 4500-X switch with VSS, I read some links and discussion from others guys looking for the same issue but I still don't understand the requierement to do this.

Here are some requirements to configure:

but what can I do if I only got 2 4500-X??  I found that Enhanced PAgP is not support it on 4500-X??

I appreciate any ideas that could help me on this.

Hello Reza, it's something like this:

On top, I have 2 switch 6509-E with VSS, which don't have any problem to activate dual-active detection.  As distribution switches are the 4500-X which I'm stuck on this.  Both primary switches are on a DC to a distance of 1km from secondary switches, so the dual-active detection must be using at least an SFP module.
