Hi

My 4507R Switch has redundant supervisor. Each supervisor has two uplink interfaces. When i want to access the second uplink interface in active supervisor.A warning comes out that says "Interface GigabitEthernet1/2 is usable/operational only when this is the only supervisor present."

The version of 4507R is 12.1(19)Ew1.

Is the problem caused because of the low version?

Hope a kind help.Thanks!

It's not the IOS version but the module limitation:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat4000/12_2_37s/config/rpr.htm#wp1097897

When you use the WS-X4013+ and WS-X4515 supervisor engines in RPR or SSO mode, only the Gig1/1 and Gig2/1 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces are available, but the Gig1/2 and Gig2/2 uplink ports are unavailable.
