4948 45-48 ethernet interfaces are not up

Good day.

I have a Cisco 4948. It's 48 ethernet ports and 4 fiber ports. Moreover, fiber ports have numbers 45-48 (the same numbers ethernet ports have).

There is a link between 4948 G1/45 and 2960 G0/1.

G1/45 on 4948 is:

inter g1/45

switchport access vlan 30

switchport mode access

end

G0/1 on 2960 is the same:

inter g1/45

switchport access vlan 30

switchport mode access

end

It does not work. But if I use for example g1/43 port on 4948 with the same setting it works normally.

As I understand I should set the 45 ethernet port instead 45 fiber port as uplink. How to do this ?

Hello Vyacheslav,

it should be something like

int gi1/45

media-type rj45

I've used it on C7200 with NPE-G1

Hope to help

Giuseppe
