IOS Bootflash was corrupted installed a new one with a fresh tftp and it was good to go

The IOS maybe corrupted during download. Try downloading the IOS again and see if you have the same problem.
Do you have enough flash for the IOS?

Then maybe the flash is bad and you have to reformat it and load the IOS again.
