6500 Port-channel Query

Hi,

I have a query on 6500 port-channel issue.

HW Product : WS-C6506-E
SW Product : s72033-adventerprisek9_wan-mz.122-33.SXI4

Customer recently deployed Cisco UCS on the ESX environment and as per Cisco documentation they were connecting 4* NIC's from the ESX to the Cisco switch. 3* NIC's are connected from the PCI  and one NIC is onboard.

They configured port-channel on the Cisco switch to support loadbalance between 4 of them but 1 port  in the port-channel is always showung suspended and that is onboard port on the ESX Server. They have implemented the same scenario in Nexus and it is working fine.

They would like to know why is that one onboard NIC is always showing in 'suspend' state on cisco 6k and how come it is working in Nexus?

Is there something they need to do to make it working or is it by default it won't support in 6K's.
