I am reviewing a config file of a 6500-SW and it shows that there are 5 VLANS configued. When I did a show cdp neighbor details, it only showed the default vlan (VLAN1) and no physical links to any other devices. This switch is offsite and I just got the assignment to analyze the network toplogy and document it. The question is, what command(s) can I used to see what the phyiscal links on this switch is/are?
Your help is very much appreciated,
sK

Try this. From the enable prompt
telnet 192.168.1.2 - hopefully you know the passwords to log onto the supervisor.
If you can log on run the following command
"sh port"
whichh should show you the physical interfaces.
You can also run a "sh module" and you should see a full module list.

Thanks Jon. I think that will do the trick. I don't have the supervisor's pwd yet. Once I do, I will use the commands you mentiond go accomplish what I need.
Thanks again,
sK
