6500E power supplies

We have a 6500E chassis with 2x 2800 WACV power supplies (running at 220V). Would like to upgrade to 2x 4200 WACV. Is it possible to upgrade w/o taking down the switch? Documentation states that disparate power supplies will not run simultaneoulsy, but that's not a problem. What I am wondering is, if I pull one 2800 and replace with the 4200, what will happen? Will the 4200 enter into standby? Will the 4200 fire up and put the 2800 into standby? Will the whole thing blow my head off? OK, the last is not likely, but is there a risk of damage to the chassis and/or line cards? I've been researching this for a few days and not been able to get a clear answer. Closest I came was a post that said if the switch *booted* with two different PS, the smaller would go into standby mode.
