Two machines shared bulk of data across my cisco 6503 Core switch.

Its routing module CPU reach 99%, switching module remained 20% normal.

When i do sho proc cpu sorted, adding each CPU utilization is not equal to 99% , is it false alert?

If true what can be reason for that? cant 6500 support high data transfer?

attached is output of show proc cpu sorted

Hello Muhammad,

you need to consider also cpu usage by interrupts that should take in account the difference

>> CPU utilization for five seconds: 99%/83%; one minute: 96%; five minutes: 86%

you see the 99%/83% the sum of all processes should reach second value
