6509 duplicate VLAN

Dear All,

i have a vlan (10.10.10.0/24) configured in a 6509 switch as a layer 2 Vlan and the users connected to this vlan but the gateway is configured in the FWSM not the MSFC.

now i want to connect another isolated 2950 switch to the 6509 switch but the problem is that the hosts in this switch have the same subnet (10.10.10/24).

Is it possible to connect it without changing the IP schema? for example performing NAT,or,....?

regards

Hi, Even though the vlans are of same subnet the vlan id differs for each vlan.so the FWSM hosts of 6509 switch will be isolated from hosts of vlan on 2950 switch. No data transfer will happen between the vlans on 6509 and 2950 switch unless they are confgured to excahge data.so no need to think of same subnet as long as the vlan id's are unique to each vlan.
