Hi Aman,

Can you please advise why you think you have a problem with FAN? Did you get any logs?

From this output:

fan-tray 1:

fan-tray 1 type: WS-C6509-E-FAN

fan-tray 1 mode: restricted-power

fan-tray 1 fan-fail: OK

We see that fan is in restricted mode which is default for 6509-E chassis. Also Fan as per the logs below provide enough cooling for modules:

chassis per slot cooling capacity: 70 cfm

module 1 cooling requirement: 30 cfm

module 2 cooling requirement: 70 cfm

module 5 cooling requirement: 35 cfm

module 6 cooling requirement: 35 cfm

thus all modules running fine.

Hi Aman, that is normal behaviour for the E chassis.

The fan assembly has 2 modes of operation, restricted-power (normal) and high-power (when you have linecards that require extra cooling).

It would be worth checking your power presentation though as PSU 2 is showing low input power.

power-supply 2:

  power-supply 2 fan-fail: OK

  power-supply 2 power-input: AC low    <-------

  power-supply 2 power-output: low

  power-supply 2 power-output-fail: OK

Hope this helps.
