6509 Sup II Failure to Boot

We recently tried to replace a supervisor engine in our 6509. We are running IOS and from rommon, we selected the boot helper file instead of the image file to boot and now when we power it up all we get is an E and backwards r and that is far as it will get. We get no boot, no rommon, nothing besides those two characters on the console. Can anyone offer any suggestions ?

Hi ,

Change the baud rate of hyperterminal from min value to max value ....one by one and try to connect to sup module...at one point u should be able to connect to it.

After booting check the baud rate , config register value.

Thanks,

satish
