7609-S IOS upgrade.

Hi,

We plan to upgrade the IOS of a 7609-S router with following hardware -

SIP200

SIP400

W6748-GE-TX with DFC3B

SUP720-3BXL

SSC-400

Flash - 512 MB

DRAM - 1 GB

Current IOS - 12.2(33)SRE2

Planned IOS - 15.3(3)S6

My queries are as follows - 

1. Can we upgrade directly from current IOS to the new planned IOS?

2. Are there any minimum memory requirements for the DFC 3B on the 6748 LC?

Read the Release Notes because it should state if a ROMmon upgrade is necessary or not.  

Release Notes will also mention known bugs that could affect the network.
