I need to set a catalyst 2960 up to allow non authenticated users onto a seperate vlan. This guest vlan is outside of our network. i have freeradius setup and tested, but now im not even sure it's possible to do what i want. We are sub leasing our office and want to make sure no one gets on our vlan. What i have is 2 routers. router 1 is on vlan 1, and has a super secret vpn to an undiclosed location, probably in the jungle protected by wolves. Router 2 is on vlan 2 and is using different public ip altogether, thus not on vpn, this is our guest vlan. routers and switches are under double lock and key, but static vlan assignments would enable someone just to plug into our wall outlet and be on our vlan. what we want is someone not using 802.1x auth (or someone with bad credentials) to get vlan 2 assignment. is that possible?
