881W - AP may be corrupt - need help

I just purchased a used 881w for my practice lab. When I swith to the ap service module, I get a constant error.

*Aug 12 12:23:34.999: %SM_LICENSE-6-BOOTIMAGE_CHANGE_TO_AUTO: Boot image has been changed to autonomous image

Please use router EXEC CLI service-module wlan-ap 0 reload

to bootup autonomous image on AP

I have tried the above command, but it just reload to the same issue. Same issue when booting from the ap: prompt. I do see message "

APf866.f276.1436 con0 is now available" Not sure what that is.

Also, I can get a login prompt from the ap, but the default password does not work.

Is there anyway to recover this router/ap? Xmodem?
