We have about 60 Cisco 881w Routers at our company's remote locations. So far we have had about 8 of them randomly have their built-in APs stop responding. The router portion still works fine. When we remote into the router, and try to get into the Service-Module, it times out. The status shows the Service-Module as in a "Failed-Open" state, even after trying the Service Module Reset and Reload command. We also try rebooting the entire router, and the AP module is still inaccessible.
If we power off the 881w Router and let it sit for about a day, everything works again.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
