can anybody tell me ping use which protocol TCP or UDP

HI Mahesh,
Ping is ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol)
Ping program contains the Echo Request and Echo Reply messages.
ICMP is a componenet of TCP / IP Protocol Family.
ICMP Provide network diagonistics features

PING uses ICMP which works at layer 3. TCP and UDP are transport layer (layer 4) protocols and provide servcies to upper layer protocols only.
