Hi all

I am a bit confused with the bandwidth allocation for the queues in following command (it is a command deployed on a 6500 and productive)

wrr-queue bandwidth    20 10 25 20 1 1 20

i know the valueS are weight values, but i need to transform this into a MQC and guarantee minimum BW allocation per queue with regards to this.

Thanks a lot for any kinda help

Soroush.

Hope it Helps!

Soroush.

Hello,

Each queue proportion is defined by

Pk=wk/(w1+w2+w3+...+wn)

where wk is the weight for queue k, n is the number of queues, Pk is the ratio for queue k. based on the ratio you can get the bandwidth in percent.

One comment to add i s that if any of these queue will be configured as priority - then in the formula above it's weight is removed from calculations (e.g. queue l is priority, then wl=0).
