aaa auth

Guys, does aaa auth dot1x command only apply to 802.1x port control? I want to use the default group radius command here for port control but dont want to upset the aaa auth default group tacacs command I use to access the VTY lines

Re: aaa auth

Whatever you define for aaa auth dot1x should only affect dot1x settings and shouldn't interfere with your vty access settings.

General login settings (vty, console, etc) are usually applied with aaa auth login. Enable settings are defined as aaa auth enable.

All three are for authentication but all three are used in different areas and for different purposes.
