I am putting together an order for an electrician to install additional power so that I can bring the N5K/N2K switches that I have online.
The switches I received were sent with power cables terminated with a NEMA6-15P connector (it looks like a regular 110 power plug but the two normally vertical spades are both horizontal on this plug. I am getting push back from Management on ordering outlets specifically for these connectors because of the additional expense. What I have been asked to check into is if we can use regular power cables (google for Volex M744). I was trying to use only 220 power for the Nexus gear but because of the availability of 110 I have been asked to look at that.
Would like to hear from others as to how they have powered their Nexus 5K and 2K's.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
