i have two core switches connected back to back running hsrp for high availability.access layer switches are connected to both core switches via ten gig uplinks.i have created L3 vlans in core switch.vlan 1001 is native vlan and vlan 500 is management vlans.all devices are given ips in vl 500.all the switches are in transparent mode.respective vlans are allowed in trunk.when i am connecting the pc to 500 vlan i am able to ping all the access switches and do ssh login.when i am binding the pc in other vlan i am not able to ping any of the access switches.

Do you have IP addresses from different vlans in the same subnet? When you change vlan do you also change IP on pc?

Thanks.

Hi,

When you bind pc to "other" vlan, do you have an svi of that vlan as well on the core ? Does it also have an hsrp group ?
