Accessing 2 vlan from one NIC

Hi all,

I have requirement to access two vlan from my PC.

I have configred the LAN switch(cisco 2960G) as trun port,In my NIC intel 82566-dm2 gigabit ethernet card configured two vlans.

But it is not working..

If any setting to be done on the switch apart from configuring it as trunk port.

Does this NIC supports TRUNKING/TAGGING, Native VLAN??

yes, It supports 802.1q and 802.1p

Then apart from regular config like

switchport mode trunk

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

Also make sure Native VLAN is same on both sides.

This should work...

my issue is resolved..

the problem was with trendmicro office scan installed on that pc and it has firewall and IDS features. After i disabled the firewall on network card both VLANs are working fine.

satish -thanks for reply
