ACL Numbers

Hi;

On cisco 6500, we use ip named acl lists with header numbers like 1,2,5,100,200 etc.

But when we restart the switch all this acl numbers become 10,20,30,40 etc.

Is ıt normal ? if not what must we do to protect these numbers ?

Thanks.

This is a feature with Named ACLS. It's like BASIC. Once you insert line number 12, for instance, 12 becomes 20 and 20 moves to a different number.

I see, but on cisco router we havent got any problem like this ?

Can it be valid only for cisco switches ?

Thanks.

I've seen this feature on Routers and Switches. I like this feature because it allows users to "insert" ACL's anywhere in the list.
