Adding a N7KM132XP-12 Module to a Nexus 7K Switch

Trying to find some documentation as to whether there are any other steps for inserting this new module in our N7K. We have 2 blades in already and 2 Sups in 5 & 6. I'm assuming its like the 6500s, where we just slide it in and the OS configures the global parms for it and the default VLAN. Just want to make sure, if anyone has a link to asny doc, it would be appreciated.

Hi Ken,

The module is hot swapable so you just insert it. It will go through boot process and NX-OS will correctly identify it. Just a note to verify the EPLD on the new card. You might want to upgrade this before using it. The resources on the card will be in the default VDC.

Just a side note:

Some people have been complaining about the ejector levers that can easily be depressed.  If you are one of those people, please note that there is now a command to disable those ejector levers.

The command is:  no hardware ejector enable
