Adding new Module

Hi,

I have a 6509 with SUP1A. I want to insert one more gig module WS-X6148A-GE-TX. Do i need a restart after inserting or will it get recognized with restarting the switch.

Hi

You should be able to insert it and have it recognised by the switch as long as the CatOS or IOS version supports it.

This is your IOS image. What CatOS image do you have.

You will need CatOS 8.4(1) as a minimum. Please see attached link for full details:
