Hi
I'm getting an error in my 2501 router. Can someone please explain what this is?
Router>
00:01:12: %LANCE-1-MEMERR: Unit 0, memory error, csr0=0xAAF3
00:01:22: %LANCE-1-MEMERR: Unit 0, memory error, csr0=0xAAF3
00:01:32: %LANCE-1-MEMERR: Unit 0, memory error, csr0=0xAAF3
00:01:42: %LANCE-1-MEMERR: Unit 0, memory error, csr0=0xAAF3
00:01:52: %LANCE-1-MEMERR: Unit 0, memory error, csr0=0xAAF3
00:02:02: %LANCE-1-MEMERR: Unit 0, memory error, csr0=0xAAF3
I continuously get this error message. My interfaces are going up and down. I notice this, from the other router, because when I connect this router to the other router, it shows me the interface that the problematic router is connected to, is going up and down continuously.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Omal

you can try to replace the memory in slot0 of the router first; this may remedy.
if replaced memory gives the same symptom, the memory slot is bad and the router will need to be repaired/replaced.

Hi Omal
This is a hardware problem. Your router needs to be repaired.
Hope this helps
