Any web-based tools to achieve 802.1x authentication?
My environment is an educations institution so that there are quite a large number of users who neither know how to configure 802.1x authentication (wired) nor willing to come to IT hep for it.
So we are considering to have some kind of web-based 802.1x authentication so that whenever a not authenticated user are able to be redirected to a webpage and get authenticated. After that they can be pushed into a new authenticated VLAN so that new access rights can be granted on the firewall (which means the web portal should be able to communicate with the switch)
What will be a cost-effective way of achieving this?
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
