ASA 5505 - DHCP Lopp

Hello,

We have an ASA that is currently handing out DHCP for VoIP phones onsite. Whenever a phone tries to pull an address it goes into a boot loop, where it sets and resets the options then tries a new address. Here is the results of debug dhcpd event:

dhcpd_create_automatic_binding() adding NP rule for client 172.20.56.63

DHCPD: assigned IP address 172.20.56.63 to client 0004.f233.d538.

I am not sure if this is an issue with the DHCP server or if its on the endpoint. If anyone has any advice please advise.

Thanks!

ASA 5505 - DHCP Lopp

I can not tell from the messages displayed whether it is more likely an issue with the DHCP server or with the phone. Perhaps you can supply some detail of how the DHCP server is configured on the ASA?
