ASIC question on WS-X6748-GE-TX

I am setting up a multi-port etherchannel on a 6509 for the first time in several years. 

Is the port count per ASIC still 8 as in the earlier ethernet blades ?

I want to make sure that I only put one port of each etherchannel on a particular ASIC.

I am already planning on spreading the etherchannel across multiple blades in the 6509.

It is 12 port per ASIC
