%C4K_LINECARDMGMTPROTOCOL-4-ONGOINGTIMEOUTWARNING (x16):

Explanation: There are persistent communication problems with the module ASIC

that fans out a single gigabit port to front-panel ports.

Recommended Action: Reinsert the module.

hope it helps ... rate if it does ...

Try powering the switch all the way down . Earlier versions of this switch had sdram problems sometimes asic timeout would occur , later versions of code actually had a built in test that runs in the background that tests this and if it see a problem it isolates the problem areas and reloads itself . If this happens it should be replaced anyway but the switch will continue to work until you get a replacement . This also could be caused by a faulty or infected station on the switch using up all the bandwidth causing the supervisor to be unable to talk to the linecards . You could try pulling one linecard at a time to eliminate that possibility or disable one module at a time from the command line just don't hang yourself out by disabling the card that feeds the uplink .

It appears that the problem has been resolved by replacing the SUP III module. Still on monitor.
