Auto Qos Dropping Port Channel in 3750

We have a switch that, when configuring auto qos on and edge port facing video equipment, the upstream port channel drops.  Can anyone speculate on what this may be?  I was wondering if no auto qos would have to be configured on the member ports of the port channel prior to enabling auto qos on any other ports.  I'm just guessing though.

Re: Auto Qos Dropping Port Channel in 3750

Auto qos is configured per ASIC. If the channel is on the same ASIC as the edge port, its settings will also be affected.

On the 3750, some 6 or 8 ports share one ASIC so this is not unlikely.

It should however be no problem to enable auto qos for the port channel as well.

Auto Qos Dropping Port Channel in 3750

Hi Leo,

Would you know where I could find out which ports are using which ASIC?  Is there documentation or a show command that will show me that?

Thanks,

DW
