I would like to know how can I proactively avoid IP conflicts in a network. This is becuase there was a customer that set a static IP that was actully a gateway IP and the whole IP subnet became unstable as the clients did not sent the route to the actual gateway.
 Would the router be able to detect that a new host is using an IP that is
already in use by inspecting the arp table first ?
