Backup Network

Hello,

We have CA BrigtStore Backup solution for Messaging and Application which are in GB's.

I am looking for recommendation if to have separate network from regular LAN Network or connect to the network.

Is there any white papers or recommendation from CISCO.

Core : 4500

Switches : L2 ( 10/100 )

Module on 4500 : 24 ports 10/100/1000

Backup Network Server and Backup Application Server 10/100/1000

If at all possible I like to put backups on a seperate network. Seperate NICs, seperate patch panels, seperate switches, seperate everything. Of course it all depends on your needs and money.
