Hi
I rent a internet line from an ISP. they tell me they give my ornization dedicated 256 MB. and i am doubt that they does give us 256 line.
it is connected my router.
so anyone help me how i know or calculate that ISP give me 256 KB bandwidth line, not less then that ??.

Hi,
One way to see this is to use an application like 'iperf'. Send a UDP stream at 256k and see that you receive it at the other end.

I am not clear of that. i use internet for browse and mail check so where i send 256k data.
any easy way have to check or software ?

Is it 256 MB or 256 KB , you say it is both in your note . Most org's don't have a 256 meg line into the internet but maybe some do if they have a lot of money to spend every month . :-)

Thanks to all share with me.
At first i am clear to all that my line is 256kbs which proved by ISP.
I am not talking about internet spped , you provide link is nice which give online speed test.
but i am worried that isp give me acccurate 256kbs line or not. many time times they say we give you 256kbs line but thet actual give 196 kbs line. so how I can measure that they realy give me dedicated 256 kbs line. this line is connecte dmy router.
I think, all are expert guy clear of my view.
