bandwidth statement limited to 10G?

Hi networkers,

I am curious on why is bandwidth only limited to 10G? Is this a known bug? What I am trying to do is put the bandwidth statement in an etherchannel (port-channel) with 4 x 10G bundle = 40000000.

Does anyone know how to workaround with this?

Router(config-if)#int po101

Router(config-if)#bandwidth ?
  <1-10000000>  Bandwidth in kilobits
inherit       Specify how bandwidth is inherited

Router(config-if)#

Thanks in advance!

Mike

Hello Mike,

what device and what IOS image is running on it?

I see the same on one of my C6500

int te5/4
RT-RM-MZZ014-PT-E-2(config-if)#bandwidth ?
  <1-10000000>  Bandwidth in kilobits
inherit       Specify how bandwidth is inherited

sh ver | inc image
System image file is "sup-bootdisk:s72033-adventerprise_wan-vz.122-33.SXI1.bin"

I think a service request should be opened to TAC to have the range reviewed

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Hey,

I think its because EIGRP can't differentiate anything past 10gig, but that's just my guess.

Why do you want to edit the bandwidth statement to 40gig, for QoS purposes or something else? (Just curious)
