Hi all experts.
I have 3 routers connected as below
Router-1-------------------------------RR---------------------------------------------Router-2
All 3 routers are running bgp as 10. Router-1 is advertising a prefix 10.1.1.0/24 to RR. RR in turn advertises to its route-reflector-client Router-2. But the next hop remains that of Router-1. I used the command next-hop-self on RR for Router-2 but it didnt work. Does it means, that for IBGP prefixes, i cannot use this command ?

Hi John,
On RR, next-hop-self only changes next-hop for the prefixes learned from the eBGP peer. You can use route-map to set next-hop to change next-hop for all routes.
