Booting problem on SUP720

Hi,

One of my 6500 is refusing to boot with it's new software image.

DKNCORA#sh boot

BOOT variable = disk0:s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF14.bin,12;sup-bootflash:s72033-ipservicesk9-mz.122-18.SXF10.bin,1;

CONFIG_FILE variable =

BOOTLDR variable =

Configuration register is 0x2102

I want to upgrade from SXF10 to SXF14.

here's the reload output

Hi,

Did you resolve this problem. I'm getting exactly the same but when using a Supy 32. Also the switch will get to the same stage, i.e. Image text-base:

and then start over the RP loading sequence.

Hi,

For the newer software, you should remove the boot statement "boot system flash sup-bootflash:xxxxx" if you are running Native IOS. This file system is on the MSFC and it is not going to be used to boot up the switch.

Boot image should be stored in sup-disk0: or sup-bootdisk:.
