When bpdu-filter is configured at the interface level.. am I correct to assume it still continues to relay BPDU's it has received from other switches on other non-filterwed swichports out of the interface configured with bpdu-filter? (handled like regular multicast/ broadcast traffic)
As in at the interface level bpdu-filter outbound it only filters locally generated bpdu's.. ( and of course blocks received BPDU's on the configured interface).

correct, if you enable it globally, it applies to all interfaces
Switch(config)#spanning-tree portfast bpdufilter ?
default Enable bpdu filter by default on all portfast ports
Switch(config)#spanning-tree portfast bpdufilter
You can also enable it per interface which applies only to specific interface
spanning-tree bpdufilter enable

sorry.. I'm not sure if you fully understood my question.. yes I understand that enabling it globally .. filtering applies to all interfaces and its portfast interaction..... this is clearly documented by cisco
my question was specifically based on bpdu-filter enabled on a specific interface.. does it forward bpdu's out it's recieved from other interfaces on the switch??
