BPDU Skewing

I'm getting numerous "BPDU_SKEWING" for all 64 VLANs on a core 6509. I had the 6509 set as the root bridge for all VLANs, so in an attempt to correct the skewing, I configured the distribution switch in each VLAN as the root bridge. This made no difference.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

BPDU skewed timing is very normal.

As long as skew timings are under 5 seconds there is nothing to worry about.

If you run a sniffer you will see that BPDUs are recieved {(hello Interval) +/- (few hunderd ms)}

BPDU skew detection is useful when skew time is significantly longer.

I realize skewing is normal. I used to get 4 or 5 BPDU skewing errors per day. I am now getting 2,000 to 3,000 BPDU skew errors per day. I'm guessing the increase is due to an increase in network traffic, but how do I troubleshoot/confirm this?
