Broadcast/Multicast CPU usage

Hi,

using 6506 SUP720-3B and 3560. How can i configure these sw to reduce CPU usage in case of broadcast/multicast storm.

Use Broadcast Storm Control feature:

int ...

storm-control broadcast ...

This works well for broadcasts.

6148-GE-TX, 6548-GE-TX modules do not support this feature. Multicast storm control is supported by Gig 6500 modules only. 67xx modules have caveats with multicast control. You shouldn't use storm control for multicasts if you really use multicasts. Use rate-limiters on the 65k platform instead.
