Hi, does stacking 2 Lan Base 3750x Switches require stack power cable? because there is only one stacking cable 50cm in the box, it is enough for stacking?

Meanwhile, IP Base 3750x switch box contains one stacking cable and one stack power cable

Pls help to advise

thank you

They include the stack power cable with the IP Base unit since the LAN base image does not include the stack power feature.

If the stack master is running IP Base you can use the stack power feature.

In either case, it's not required to form a working data stack - only to share power in the event of a power supply failing on one of the members.

yep - agreeing to most of that.

Just a small addition:

Starting with 15.0(2)SE stack power is now supported with the LAN base image too.

As you said, one data-stack and one stack-power cable is delivered with each switch.

That makes two of each when buying two switches ;-).

So you are perfectly prepared for cross-connecting a two switch-stack.

That's correct, Dirk. I was vaguely recalling that change but didn't check the release notes before my reply.

Thanks for the clarification.
