CAM, TCAM and FIB Location in switch

Folks,

I have a question here. I want to know CAM, TCAM and FIB table physically located in which memory of a switch. I know that they resides in a fast memory.

Hello. This depends on the model. For example the TCAM in 3750 model resides in dedicated ASICs for each switchport. On the other hands the 2960 has only one ASIC for all ports.

Hi Eduardo,

I didn't get the document where I can get this information about other switches. I want to know this information about other switches like 6500, 4500 and Nexus series.
