Can a 3560E be configured to do VRF

Tracey Foster

Hi,

I have a few 3560E running Ver 12.2(50)se2.  Can anyone tell me if these boxes can be configured to run VRF.  I see a "sho IP VRF" option, but I do not see it available when under config t.  Do I need to do a IOS upgrade to be able to configure VRF?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Tracey,

Your switch is currently running IP Base license. You will need to purchase and install the IP Services license in order to unlock the VRF capability (along with many others).

Regarding the management of licenses, this is a lengthy but a very descriptive guide:

Best regards,

Peter

Hi Tracey,

What feature set/license are you running? Multiple VRFs are supported on your platform with the IP SERVICES license or feature set.

Best regards,

Peter

Pter,

Thanks for the reply.  Good question, I don't know.  How do I determine this?

Try show version and show license all commands.
